Ideas for father/daughter gift for my wedding?
I am getting married May 30th and I still haven’t gotten a gift for my Dad. I know I can get him like a picture frame or something, but I was thinking something a little more modern and personalized. I know I can get him like a flask or a watch, but none of that is his style.
He isn’t really into sports & is kind of a nerd. But he had really helped me out a lot with this wedding, and I want to get him something to let him know how much I appreciate it.
Any ideas will help!
Certainly there must be something that is really just between you and your Dad – nothing new or shiney, but a reminder of how far you go back, and all the times he was there for you. Something small, in a little glass box he can keep on his desk, or another reminder of when you were small. That’s what he’s really thinking about – not something new he can probably buy himself.
Maybe a really nice tie, but turn it inside out and write with indelible pen, “You’ll always be my Daddy…” so he knows it’s there, but no one else does.
It will come to you – just give it some thought. It’s about communicating, not providing.
