returning a shirt?????????????????????

my friend bought me this shirt from American eagle for my birthday and it doesn’t fit me well because i am kind of skinny and dont fill the shirt the thing is she has the receipt because she also bought something for herself i dont wanna ask her for it and i dont mind getting like store credit from ae like a gift card can i exchange it without a receipt?

Why don’t you go ae and explain what happened.
I think they will understand.
I did that in another store.
