Can i transfer my deceased mother property to my name in india?

My mother expired 3yrs back.sale deed was in her name.i am the only one legally adopted son.my paternal and maternal uncles are harrasing me due to property.will not made by my mother.my father is alive.he has given me the power of attorney.its already stated in power of attorney that i can sell,gift,deed,transfer property.can i transfer and get clear title of the said property by using power of attorney? Property tax is in my name.kindly help.if i cant,what is the legal procedure have to follow in india?

You can give application to the municipal[pal Authorities with Death & Legal Heir ship certificate of your deceased mother. After enquiry they will transfer the change of name in the records.
