Target Birthday Gift Registry

target birthday gift registry
Wedding shower invitation wording?

My Fiance and I have a large number of necessities being given to us, (couch, bed, table, kitchen eatery, etc…) and what we have been given we received for Christmas and my birthday. We are having a hard time registering to items. We will be on a very confined income our first year as she finishes school. We have registered at kohls, target, bed bath beyond, jcpenney, and belk. We really would rather people get us target/visa gift cards above anything else because that can buy groceries or little nick nacks as we have more than enough necessities for the first year.

How should we word our invitations to encourage this, or if not invitations, in some way communicate this to all of the girls.

Most of the online registries offer a “message” to display to the guests who look at our profile. How might we word this feature to promote gift card buying?

You don’t mention gifts in any way at all on an invitation. You cannot tell your guests that you want gift cards. Tacky and impolite. You and your fiancee are responsible to budget your money to buy your groceries and other necessities. This is not the responsibility of your guests. Whatever you do, don’t put 5 registry cards in every invitation.

Gifts are voluntary and from the heart. Just accept each gift in the spirit it is given and be grateful.
